Swine Flu

I don't think that the Swine Flue is a really big deal. A lot of people die of regular flu as well, and it's not like we don't have a cure for it. I think it's ridiculous that they canceled all of the sporting events and stuff.

Teacher

The teacher that had the biggest influence on my life would probably be Mrs. Davis, the elementary counselor. In 4th grade (don't ask me why) but I would get so scared that my mom wouldn't pick me up from school. One day my mom was running late and she was about 20 min late and from then on for a few weeks I thought she was going to forget me. Mrs. Davis saw me sad one day waiting for her, so she came and asked me what was wrong. I told her and she told me I could come to her room every day after school and sit with her and wait. She made a big impact on my life then and now. I talk to her all the time and remind her about that time of sissiness in my life.

Human Interest Story

A 107-year-old Chinese woman who was afraid to marry when she was young has decided to look for her first husband and hopes to find a fellow centenarian so they will have something to talk about, a Chinese paper reported.

Wang Guiying is worried she is becoming a burden to her aging nieces and nephews since breaking her leg when she was 102 and had to stop doing chores like washing her clothes.

"I'm already 107 and I still haven't got married," the Chongqing Commercial Times quoted her saying. "What will happen if I don't hurry up and find a husband?"

Born in southern Guizhou province the child of a salt merchant, Wang grew up watching her uncles and other men scold and beat their wives and often found her aunt crying in the woodshed after an attack, the paper said.

"All the married people around there lived like that. Getting married was too frightening," she said of an era when Chinese women had few rights and low social standing.

Many also had their feet bound in an excruciating process aimed at making them look more dainty and marriageable.

After Wang's father, mother and older sister died, she still shied away from marriage. Instead she moved to the countryside and survived as a farmer until she was 74 years old and no longer strong enough to work in the fields, the report said.

Her nephew in the booming city of Chongqing then took Wang in, but she is worried he and her other nephews and nieces are too old to take care of her now even the youngest is 60.

"My nephews and nieces are getting older and their children are already tied up with their own families and I am becoming more and more of a burden," she said.

Local officials have said they are happy to help Wang search for a 100-year old groom, and suggested her family get in touch with old people's homes to find candidates, the paper said.

Dog Story

I woke up good today. One of the stupid little kids didn't even mind me sleeping and just jumped on me and started frantically petting me. When she went to school I payed her back by peeing on all her barbies. I got a good breakfast this morning. Alice (the mom) fixed way too much eggs and bacon so she gave a lot of it to me. They also bought me a brand new toy!!!!!!! It was a brand new tennis ball! I played with that thing forever. I took a long nap only to be woke up by the stupid girl again. She thinks I always want to be petted but to tell you the truth I don't really like it at all. There was this really hot cocker spaniel that walked by today. I couldn't stop staring at her so I let her in the gate and we played with my new tennis ball until we were so tired. For supper I just ate some dog food, but the family had t-bones so I had a super big bone to chew on :) well I am really tired and I need to get as much sleep as I can before that dang little girl comes in here in the morning and wakes me up.

Room 101

My Room 101 would probably consist of a lot of snakes and spiders because nothing scares me more than snakes and spiders. If I could I would kill every snake and spider in the world. I would also kill mosquitoes because they have no use in this world except to make people miserable scratching themselves all day.

Christmas Story

There was once a man who never liked Christmas. He hated it so much that he refused to get out of the house on Christmas and when people came to carol at his house he would shoot all of the and eat them. Then one Christmas there was only one caroler and he loaded up his shotgun and opened the door and they disappeared. He just shut the door and went into his living room where he saw a little woman sitting. He tried to shoot her but the bullets went right through. She said she was the Christmas witch and he never showed any spirit. She said there was no reason to be grumpy on Christmas. So she gave him a reason to be grumpy. She turned him into a horse with permanent candy cane antlers so he could never forget the Christmas spirit. She also named him Seabiscuit...........the rest is history

Coach Rhodes

When I was a freshman on the first day of offseason I ate a huge lunch. I didn't know that offseason was that bad until we got done lifting and Coach Rhodes said well i guess we gon run some 300's today. I didn't think it would be too bad until I got done and felt horrible. Right before we did our special I ran off and started throwing up and everyone was making fun of me. When I was walking into the field house coach rhodes came up to me and put his arm around me and started lauging and said wellllllllllllllllllllllllll i guess your not very tough yet but dont worry ill get you there and patted my back and started walking off

Halloween

I think that banning the costume was really extreme. He was just doing it for laughs, and even though it was wrong I probably would have laughed lol. I think they should have punished him and not everyone in the school.

Story

There was a big dragon that always ate people. He always ate the really fat people because they tasted like butter. Everyone, even the skinny people, were scared of him. Then one day a man by the name of Grenretuman came and killed him and they all used the butter from the fat people he had already eaten for their toast which is where we got eating butter and toast from.

Well to start off I would like to wish a very happy birthday to the beautiful Amanda Kirkpatrick :) I really don't have an exciting birthday like a lot of people have. On my birthday I just get a lot of money and everyone is nice to me and I don't have to do anything I don't want to. So I have a pretty boring birthday. When I was little I had awesome birthday parties though.
